Born and raised in Ventura, California. Jim Martin possesses a unique blend of skills incorporating home building, structural and architectural design, and photography. Mechanically inclined from an early age Jim left high school in 1986 to work for his father, a long time and skilled builder.

Surfing since an early age, he has grown to love and cherish the ocean, with the beauty and power it has to offer.

Jim’s photography is displayed in many homes throughout the City of Ventura and his love for his family, the City of Ventura and surfing is reflected throughout his portfolio.

Jim has created a Ventura book flled with Ventura and local surf imagery. A small selection of those pictures were used for VenturaValues.com. The exciting release of this new book, 132 pages filled with photographs of some of Ventura’s incredible and most precious moments.
