Academy Award winning composer Elmer Bernstein was born in New York and studied music at the famed Julliard School. He eventually made his way to California where he scored such great films as “The Ten Commandments,” “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Ghostbusters,” and “The Magnificent Seven.”
